מקומות ישיבה לימים הנוראים יהיו מקומות ישיבה מסומנים רק לתפילת כל נדרי ונעילה ביום הכיפורים. לא יהיו מקומות מסומנים לראש השנה. השיטה היחידה להזמין מקומות ישיבה היא למלא טופס הצטרפות לקהילת ידידיה ולמסור את הטופס יחד עם התשלום למשרד. לא ניתן להזמין מקומות באמצעות דוא"ל. המועד האחרון להזמנת מקומות ישיבה הוא יום א', 12.9 (צום גדליה). אחרי תאריך זה, נשחרר את כל המקומות שהקצבנו לחברים שצפויים לחדש חברותם בקהילה. אם אתם מתכוונים לחדש את החברות, זה הזמן! |
Seating for the Yamim Nora'im This year there will be assigned seating only for Kol Nidre and Ne’eila on Yom Kippur. There are no assigned seats for Rosh Hashana. The only way to request a seat is to submit your completed membership form and payment to the office. Seats cannot be ordered via email. The deadline for requesting seats for Yom Kippur is Sunday, September 12 (Tzom Gedalia). After that date all of the seats we are presently holding for members expected to renew their membership will be released and we cannot guarantee you a seat. |

שנה חדשה בפתחנו ונחדש אי"ה את הלימוד המשותף בימי ג' החל מהשבוע הבא (7.9), ערב ראש השנה. נקיים שיעור מיוחד לקראת ראש השנה בשעה 9 בערב לפני הסליחות – נא להביא מסכת ראש השנה. בעשרת ימי תשובה, ביום ג' 14.9, נקיים שיעור בענייני יום הכיפורים ותשובה בשעה הרגילה: 7 בערב. דפי מקורות יישלחו למעוניינים. את הלימוד הסדיר במסכת תענית נחדש אי"ה אחרי החגים. אפשר "לקפוץ על העגלה" וגם לרדת ממנה בכל שלב. |
Pinchas Leiser’s Tuesday evening shiur will resume on Tuesday September 7 with a special session dedicated to Rosh HaShana, at a special time (9 PM, before selichot). Please bring Talmud Rosh HaShana. On Tuesday September 14th, we will study issues related to Yom Kippur and Teshuva at the regular time (7 PM). Texts available on request. The regular shiur on Taanit will resume after Sukkot. Everybody can join and leave at any time. No special background is required. |

Three lone soldiers, friends of Niot Watzman from the Golani Brigade, are moving this week into an apartment in our neighborhood, but will receive furniture from the Defense Ministry only a month from now. Book Launch: The Separation of Early Christianity from Judaism by Sister of Sion Dr. Marianne Dacy of Sydney, Australia. Another Book Launch (same time, different place): “The World Is My Pulpit” by Miriam Braver Lifshutz, the amazing story of the life of Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Oscar m. Lifshutz z”l, the most decorated Orthodox Jewish Chaplain in the U.S. Army (1945-1965). The reception will take place in the presence of the author and various members of the Lifshutz family. On the last Friday of the year, September 3, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM, we will once again greet the Sabbath Queen with a musical offering by Mussa and Odelia Berlin singing Israeli and Hassidic songs in the spirit of the upcoming Days of Awe. Once again we will meet at the “Mishan” old-age home, 7 Yehoshua ben Gamla, near Beit Elisheva. Everyone is invited to join us - both in singing and in the musical accompaniment.
